"Bridge Builders provides a life changing short-term mission experience. Gordon College sent our first team with Bridge Builders in January 1994 and we continue to send teams with them today. Our students experience service through the eyes and lives of the host community members and church leaders—their worldview is challenged! I highly recommend working with Bridge Builders."

Gordon College STM Advisor

Bridge Builders put together a perfect one-week program for our MBA class! We were able to learn about the culture and the economy of Guatemala and focus on sustainable development, with a "hands-on" exposure to the fair trade and organic coffee industry there. All our students considered it a great experience!

Chris Eaton and Bridge Builders were a perfect host for our trip to Guatemala. We were a large group looking for meaningful work in a safe, culturally-diverse environment, and that's precisely what we found in BridgeBuiders. All of the kids and adults in our group had an amazing experience, and we will call on Bridge Builders again when we travel to Central America.
Susan Fredell, Team Coordinator
Pilgrim Congregational Church, MA

Bridge Builders has a deep concern for the poor and offers very practical ways to impact lives. Our church has taken two trips using Bridge Builders as our in-country organizer. Every detail (itinerary, hotels, local transportation, international telephones, translators, guides, etc.) has been perfectly planned and orchestrated. The guides, chosen to accompany our groups and to translate for us, have been amazing and have found permanent places in our hearts. We can't wait to plan our next trip!

Bridge Builders offers a truly unique experience that you will not find as a tourist in Guatemala. There was never any need to worry as professionalism and safety are top priorities at Bridge Builders.

For the past six years, Bridge Builders has taken the worry of finding meaningful impacting projects off of our school's shoulders. We simply contact them, tell them what kind of project we are looking for, and they do the rest. Project, housing, food, and transportation is all taken care of.

Two words come to my mind regarding Bridge Builders and the work they do - compassionate and progressive. Compassionate in that they work in areas where the people suffer a lot due to deep seated economic, social, or environmental challenges. Progressive in that they incorporate best practices learned from the field of development that involve local resources combined with outside resources to solve problems. North Americans who participate with Bridge Builders have the opportunity to work closely with local people in solving difficult issues they face on a daily basis. Bridge Builders is a heartwarming, exhilarating, humbling, WOW experience for everyone.

Our experience with Bridge Builders was one of the very best our campus has ever had working with an international facilitator. I have sponsored many, many international expeditions, fact-finding projects, social justice programs and general exploratory efforts. Our group gave this Guatemala experience the very best ratings I could have imagined, and we owe it all to Bridge Builders.

Our school has been doing trips with Bridge Builders for ten years and our experience has always been outstanding. Their projects are always community-oriented, developmentally sound, and culturally rich. Somehow they are able to meet the needs and expectations for a group experience while also making sure that their projects are what is best for the local community. I highly recommend partnering with them!

Bridge Builders is very experienced in connecting North American college groups to non-profit organizations, churches, and community groups throughout Latin America. Their list of contacts and design of educational opportunities throughout Latin America is impressive. Bridge Builders aptly describes the organization's mission-to connect people for the betterment of both cultures. When I think about sending groups to Latin America, Bridge Builders is one of the first groups that come to mind.

Bridge Builders took great efforts to carefully organize every detail ofour trips. Their highest priority was always to remove all obstacles so that we could experience true impact from beginning to end. Because of their professionalism we were always right at home in a foreign land.

Working with Bridge Builders gave us the chance as leaders to focus on our in country work rather than stressing over details such sleeping accommodations, translators and transportation. From the moment we landed in Guatemala Bridge Builders staff were there to meet us and made sure we always had everything we needed. They were aware of the little details that we were not aware of (such as the altitude change and making sure we had water) and were always right on top of any requests we made. This trip went so smoothly and I give all the credit to Bridge Builders!

Bridge Builders is an organization I can recommend without reservation. I have been fortunate to have made at least 10 different trips with them to South America in Peru and Ecuador and in Central America to Guatemala and El Salvador and all have been very rewarding. The Bridge Builder liaisons who accompany our work teams are very competent, well versed in the languages spoken in each location, and in each case have had a personality that is fun to work with, and very dedicated to what the mission team is trying to accomplish. Chris Eaton, has a unique skill in finding personalities in the people that he hires, who always leave me feeling like I'd like to know them better as friends. A week of working shoulder to shoulder with them accomplishes the very important goal of improving international relationships, forming new friendships with people of a different culture, and it feels like a vacation at the same time.
