What is Bridge Builders? Bridge Builders is an organization committed to facilitating the details and logistics of short-term service experiences for groups interested in working and partnering with projects in the Developing World. You recruit the team and Bridge Builders handles the rest. Bridge Builders takes care of the details so you don't have to! Over the past twelve years the personnel associated with Bridge Builders has provided a variety of team opportunities in Bolivia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, South Africa and Thailand. Many teams have been involved in the construction of schools, student centers, health and nutrition centers and other community facilities. Teams serve side-by-side with the host community, learning and working together while impacting peoples’ lives in a tangible way. Some groups have added components of language study and home stays. Bridge Builders is able to design the cross-cultural experience that fits your group. Contact us today about the goals and interests of your group!
Voyage. Expedition. Odyssey. Memorable travel should have the power to transform you. Bridge Builders has recently partnered with Pura Vida Coffee, a unique company that specializes in Fair Trade and organic coffee in an effort to bring hope to at-risk children and families in coffee-growing countries. Bridge Builders and Pura Vida Coffee have come together to offer sustainable development tours that explore key industries in Guatemala including Fair Trade coffee, ecotourism, and local arts and crafts used in home décor. These tours provide the opportunity to learn about issues affecting the developing world and the relationship between producers and international consumers. For more information about Pura Vida visit puravidacoffee.org. Why Bridge Builders? Bridge Builders is committed to changing lives through sustainable
development practices. What this means is that while we are short-term
service trip coordinators, we are also a development organization. By
concentrating on good development principles we can be assured of making
the greatest impact on our trips that will have a long-term influence
on the host country. Among other things, we accomplish this by selecting
projects where there is local leadership, vision and ownership of the
project, and substantive community involvement.
